Care

Sterling silver can last you a lifetime if cared for well. Sterling silver will eventually develop a natural tarnish from elements of daily life like oxygen, humidity, the skins PH levels and certain soaps and cleaning chemicals. Tarnish doesn't damage your jewellery as it is just a layer of silver sulphur that sits on top, coating the outer layer.

One of the best ways to keep your jewellery shiny and tarnish free is to keep wearing them. The natural oils from our skin remove any natural tarnishing that can happen over time. Limit the contact your piece has with perfumes, creams and makeup as these substances can accelerate the tarnish sterling silver.

To remove tarnish at home, gently scrub with warm soapy liquid detergent water and a soft-bristled toothbrush. Be sure to do so in a small bowl and never in the sink. A jewellery polishing cloth can also be used.

To clean gemstones please just use a damp clean cloth and wipe them. To avoid scratching them please do not use anything sharp to clean around the setting.

Each jewellery box is equipped with an anti-tarnish strip nestled beneath the pad sponge inserts. The strip safeguards one cubic foot of space for 2-3 months, performing optimally within an airtight box or bag.

Our pieces are designed to be lived in and loved, but like all precious things, they should be treated with care. Ensure to remove your jewellery before labour intensive activities like working out, gardening etc to avoid damage and tarnishing.

To preserve your jewellery, store it in a cool, dark, and dry environment, periodically wiping it with a polishing cloth, or wearing it frequently.
